Though Modou Adams may be known for his striking physique and social media presence, to the Peruvian government, he’s more than just an influencer — more specifically, as the British national who attempted to smuggle three kilograms of cocaine back to the United Kingdom.



As Adams, 25, attempted to leave the South American country on September 30, his plans were quickly thwarted after officials at Jorge Chávez International Airport decided to check his luggage.


During this search, police ultimately discovered a fake bottom hiding in his suitcase, one concealing several kilograms of blow. He ultimately owned up to his attempt at smuggling drugs back to London, an admission that landed him six years and eight months behind bars.
